| Case Study 1 - Whole House Renovation | |||||||
| Our client had
purchased a 3 bedroom/2 bath investment property with significant
water damage. Neglect and a leaking roof had allowed water to destroy
an earlier rear addition, and years of neglect had taken its toll
on the remainder of the interior. Our goals for this project were to: • Repair the damaged roof • Reconfigure and update the bathrooms and bedrooms • Reconfigure and update the public areas • Address the exterior to add curb appeal The Interior Project : • Gut and rework the rear hallway and addition into an expanded master bathroom • Update and expand the secondary bathroom to allow for storage and a tub • Remove the carpet and vinyl flooring in the public spaces for a new hardwood floor • Rework the living room, dining room and kitchen for a more modern layout and flow. • Install new cabinetry • Complete interior painting The Exterior Project: • Addition of new siding, columns, railings and slate flooring on the front porch • Replacement of all existing roofing and gutters • Replacement of existing garage door with a more upscale look • Construction of two rear decks to make better use of the poor terrain in the back yard. • Complete exterior painting Our client made use of Del Sol’s space planning services to reconfigure the existing floor plan for better utilization of the space. |
